Is it just me or did March just fly by? I had one show, a wedding in Colorado, and attended tennis at the Sony Ericsson here in Key Biscayne. I’ll start with the show. I was very excited to be a part of the Rotary Key Biscayne Art Festival. Many people attended this wonderful event and I was really thrilled that a lot of them stayed for my show during Happy Hour. I performed selections from all my albums including new songs from my Spanish album Sonríe.
The very next week we were on a plane to Beaver Creek, Colorado to attend the wedding of my very good friend Kim. You know how I feel about romance. Weddings are at the top of my list and this was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever attended. The backdrop was the Beaver Creek Mountain and a warm fireplace. Best of all, I
serenaded the couple for their first dance with the song Make Someone Happy. I want to wish Bill and Kim Kent a blissful marriage and a lifetime of joy.
Upon our return, we jumped right into Tennis. You have to know that my husband and I have been attending this event since it started in Key Biscayne many years ago. It’s amazing that we can walk right down the street and have so many renowned tennis stars playing in our own backyard. Not only that, we also get to see them in our neighborhood when they are not playing. I was star struck when I saw Roger Federer up close and personal at the Key Biscayne Shopping Center.
Although March was a lot about fun and play, I did spend some time on the music business. I went to the recording studio to listen to some of the finished songs of my latest project. We have three more to go and I can’t wait to share them with you. We also had another request to include three of our songs in a compilation album being released in Asia.
We have the last show of the season coming up on April 21. We are trying something new at Mariposa Restaurant in Neiman-Marcus at the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, Florida. Instead of my traditional supper club show, we will be pairing Spanish Wine, Tapas and songs from my all-Spanish album Sonríe. I hope you can join me on this very special evening.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter, Happy Passover, and Happy Spring.
Sending you a Smile,
Sylvia
