I have great news to share with you this month! We have updated the website and added the tracks for my new CD Sonrie and the pre-order campaign is well underway. You now have two different places to place your order: Bandcamp and Amazon.com. Slowly, but surely, we are getting all the pieces in place to make this the best CD release we have ever had!
On a personal note, we are back in the United States. As you might recall from the last newsletter, we were on a safari when the newsletter went out last month. I have to admit that I had reservations before arriving there. You have to understand that I was not looking forward to being out in the open with wild animals and waking up early much less! I soon discovered that it was a most amazing experience and it was well worth it.
The next 11 days we went to Capetown where we met up with friends. That was a beautiful city with many scenic places to visit. Our drive down Chapman’s Peak Drive was reminiscent of the Big Sur coast of California and the French Riviera. We also went to the wine country where we sampled many wines in the same location where the grapes were picked. During this part of our trip, I did have the opportunity to sing at our friend’s birthday party.
Our return to the United States had us traveling to West Point, New York where we attended our friend’s daughter’s wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was honored to sing the song for the first dance. I sang their favorite song from my album Smile Fly Me to the Moon. After all the non-stop traveling, we were looking for some rest and relaxation and we found it in Beaver Creek, Colorado. The weather is beautiful and the mountains are spectacular. We have been hiking and touring the area and absolutely love it here.
I can’t believe that we are going to be in our home away from home, Carmel, in a few days.
I leave you with some of our travel pictures and I wish you a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
Lots of Smiles,
Sylvia
