Taking a flight over the Bungle Bungle Range. The ancient hills resemble giant beehives forming deep chasms with palm trees and long gorges.
King George River and falls. We were taken by zodiacs up the spectacular King George River with almost vertical sheer canyon walls. We participated in a challenging walk to the top. The view from the top was amazing.

Visited an outdoor Gwion Gwion Aboriginal Art Gallery. The rock images are estimated to be up to 40,000 years old. It was amazing.
Hunter River and Mitchell Falls The helicopter ride that dropped us off to see The Mitchell Falls was spectacular. The 45 minutes stopover to view the falls from the top was wonderful. Taking the Zodiacs down the Hunter River and seeing the crocodiles was scary and exciting.
Montgomery Reef and Raft Point How unique it was to see the Montgomery Reef rise out of the water during low tide. Seeing another outdoor Aborginal art gallery after a hike up to the top of the hill was great. I especially liked the explanation of the Art by an Aborginal guide.
I am so happy that my husband encouraged me to go on this expedition trip to The Kimberlys. It has amazing geological formations that is shaped by one of the world's largest tide fluctuations of up to 40 ft. It's sparsely populated, except for its abundance of salt water crocodiles. The Kimberlys also has one of the largest concentrations of possibly the oldest rock art in the world.
It was the first time we cruised on the National Geographic Orion. With only one hundred passengers, we were well taken care of. The best part of the trip was meeting up with 3 couples from Australia. We spent the whole time enjoying exploring the area with them. They made our trip extraordinary. Can't wait to see them again.
We had an amazing Wagyu Steak Tataki and eye filet. Wagyu is a rich Australian beef that is extremely tender and sweet. It's the M&M candy of beef. It melts in your mouth. How good was it? Well, worth a 13 hour flight from LA.
