Phillips do a phenomenal job of sharing great music and keeping people worldwide up on the jazz scene. I am honored to be a featured artist on www.smoothjazz.com and hope everyone checks out the online interview now posted on their site. To get to the interview, click on the "smooth indie star" tab which takes you to the interview section which you need to click on the left, then you will see my photo and just click on that to see the interview. We liked it so much we put a link on our website, www.sylviabennett.com under the "links" section so people can find it either way. CD Release Party was Somthing Special!

What an ourpouring of love and support I received at the friends and family release party for my new CD "Songs from the Heart-- featuring The Three Tenors...Boots Randolph, Ed Calle & Kirk Whalum. Last night's event was beyond what I dreamed. It was my honor to perform for the intimate gathering of 80 very special friends and supporters. Everyone loved the champagne toast and celebration cake featuring the cover of the CD! I so enjoyed visiting with everyone and the frenzy of CD signings and photos being snapped. It was a celebration to remember and I thank all those dear ones who were there to share in the special evening. --From the heart, Sylvia.

First CD release party in Key Biscayne!

Things have been going so well with our CD "Sylvia Bennett Songs from the Heart featuring The Three Tenors...Boots Randolph, Ed Calle & Kirk Whalum"  that I feel like partying!  Tonight will be a very special night for me. We're having the first CD release party in my hometown (of many years).. Key Biscayne, Florida. It's a special event with my family, friends and a select group of loyal fans. As I start traveling, there will certainly be more celebrations. But this will be a great kick off and I can't wait.  We'll have lots of pictures to share after the event.  --- from the heart,  Sylvia

Video project completed!

In the world today, it's not always enough to appeal just to listeners. you have to showcase yourself on video too. To answer that need, we have completed a video performance for "Songs from the Heart"!  I had the good fortune to work with the brilliant producer, Layne Batt of Time Capsule Films (www.timecapsulefilms.net). We did two segments. One is a narrative about the story behind the making of the CD and includes a sampler of songs. The other segment is a performance of some of the songs in their entirety from the CD. We are going to post the videos on our website and on YOUTUBE.  Smoothjazz.com will also feature a clip from the video. I'll let everyone know when the video is up on our site and youtube.  From the heart, Sylvia

So much excitement!

Our team has been pretty overwhelmed since the release of my latest CD "Songs from the Heart featuring the Three Tenors...Boots Randolph, Ed Calle & Kirk Whalum"!  We worked with two awesome professionals, Don Graham of Progressive Music Marketing and Jim Eigo of Jazz Promo Services and WOW are we enjoying the results!   The CD is playing on adult standard radio stations all over the country thanks to Don Graham's gret work and of course the good taste of radio programmers! Jim Eigo helped get our CD in the hands of movers and shakers in the jazz world and we received some amazing reviews.  We have so many great reviews now, our team has had to condense them and put just a few on our website. I am truly humbled by the phenonmenal response.  We also are loving working with Sandy Shore of www.Smoothjazz.com which is a wonderful experience and is helping spread awareness.  From the heart -- Sylvia

Our booking agency rocks!

As an entertainer, it is so important to align with a booking agency you feel will represent you with integrity and of course, help you to keep working.   I have found such a booking agency in BAM! Baird Artists Management. My manager met Robert Baird at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference in New York, New York in January. Robert Baird's agency BAM! (don't you love the name?) is a perfect fit for me at this stage in my career. Robert is our booking agent for the U.S., Canada and the World. That pretty much covers it!  He is based in Toronto, which is a city I truly love and hope to visit much more oftenl   I am also hoping Robert Baird helps me put my love of languages to good use. I love singing in French, Spanish and Italian!   He has the pulse of the industry and is an integral part of our team as we make 2008 and 2009 landmark years. I am proud to be a Baird Artist!

Bam! Baird Artists Management's website is: www.bairdartists.com

Smoothjazz.com is our partner

Smjz_black While in Carmel & Monterey, California (one of my very favorite places on earth!) I had the opportunity to meet with Sandy and Donna of smoothjazz.com    These wonderful women have created the online radio station that is simply awesome!  They are true music lovers who go above and beyond helping artists share music.  We are pleased to announce that we have aligned with smoothjazz.com to help us with sharing our newest release "Songs from the Heart - featuring the Three Tenors -- Boots Randolph, Ed Calle and Kirk Whalum."  We will be featured on smoothjazz.com during the last half of April,  and in May and June.  As an artist who loves sharing music, it is so important to find a team of people who share the same vision. We have found that with smoothjazz.com and could not be more excited about launching our campaign in April.  -- From the heart -- Sylvia

Songs from the Heart now availalble online!

Songs_album_cover

I am very excitted to announce that my newest CD, Songs from the Heart --featuring The Three Tenors -- Boots Randolph, Ed Calle and Kirk Whalum has a release date of April 15th. But, thanks to the magic of the internet, it is aleady availalble on my website, www.sylviabennett.com

It was such an amazing honor to have such gifted musicians on this recording. Producer Hal S. Batt of Afterhours Recording Studio in Miami was absolutely brilliant as producer. We have received such positive feedback during our pre-release with everyone who listened to the cd, including event audiences as well as seasoned professionals. As an artist, it is the most rewarding when people respond to your music so positively.  That's why we chose timeless standards, love songs really, and so many people can identify with this music.  Looking forward to much more excitement -- Love, Sylvia
